Daily Mile
The aim of the Daily Mile is to improve the physical, emotional and social health and wellbeing of our children.
show me moreOur Gloucestershire Active Schools programme encourages children to move – before, during and after school. Pupils are healthier, happier and more ready to learn, and more likely to take the habit into adulthood.
We have over 85% of primary, secondary and special schools taking part in our Gloucestershire School Games, over 22,500 pupils actively participating in ‘The Daily Mile’ and over 250 young volunteers supporting the Gloucestershire Active Schools programme.
We are enormously grateful to be working with our sponsors Hartpury University and Hartpury College who have supported and helped to develop this programme over the last 2 years.
Hartpury University and Hartpury College are among the UK’s leading specialist education providers in agriculture, animal, equine, sport and veterinary nursing. Located in Gloucestershire, their 360-hectare campus is home to more than 3,300 university and college-level students studying degrees, A-levels and diplomas, as well as undertaking industry research.
