We're in it together

School Games Makers

We want young people (14 years+) to be the face of Gloucestershire’s School Games. Not just as participants but as volunteers and leaders, having a valuable experience of the organisation and running of a high quality multi-sports county competition.

There are a variety of roles that need enthusiastic, passionate and pro-active young people to fill. Volunteers will receive training, branded kit, support from a member of staff and a fantastic experience as part of the Gloucestershire School Games.

This year there is a new look leadership programme running alongside the Gloucestershire School Games. All students from Years 9 upwards are invited to contact their local School Games Organiser for further details of how to volunteer as a school games maker.

Opportunities include –

•Acting as an ambassadors within your own school/college/university

•Working with SGOs to support Level 2 events

•Promoting the School Games amongst peers and younger students

A number of School Games Makers will also have the opportunity to be nominated to support some Level 3 county finals. and exceptional volunteers will have the chance to apply for the Talent Inspiration Programme, the pinnacle of the National Level 4 School Games Programme in September.
