Our commitment to Environmental Sustainability

We are proud to support the Active Partnerships Network’s new Environmental Sustainability commitment.

Tackling climate change and promoting environmental sustainability are integral to our mission of creating a healthier, more active county.

In 2025, we’re taking a big step forward: our Board and Staff Team are developing Active Gloucestershire’s first Environmental Sustainability Strategy and Action Plan, set to launch this summer. This Strategy will address our organisational impact on the environment and outline how we can support we can move system partners in making positive changes too.

Reducing emissions is a top priority for us, aligning with Gloucestershire’s goal to achieve net zero by 2050 and Sport England’s Every Move strategy. Together, we can build a greener, more sustainable future for physical activity in Gloucestershire.

We’re excited to collaborate with partners across the sector to combat climate change and create lasting change. Let’s move towards a sustainable future together!
