Beat the Street Engagement Coordinator
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to play a vital role in the development and delivery of Beat the Street, our exciting community project which takes place in Gloucestershire each year.
Beat the Street is a community-wide project that improves the health and wellbeing of entire towns and cities by getting people of all ages moving. Delivered by Active Gloucestershire and part of Gloucestershire Moves, this will be the second year Beat the Street turns the city of Gloucester into a giant game. We hope that by building relationships and working with key partners it will be bigger, better and more accessible than ever. Reporting to our Physical Activity Specialist, this six month post will see the Beat the Street Engagement Coordinator play a vital role in the successful delivery of the project. Key responsibilities will include:
- Increasing participation and engagement levels with Beat the Street across whole communities (schools, businesses, community groups).
- Working with the Active Gloucestershire team and external partners to target specific groups who are less active (i.e. those with long term health conditions or from lower socio-economic groups).
- Distributing Beat the Street materials and providing support to schools, community groups and distribution points.
- Working with sports, physical activity and cultural organisations to embed a sustainable legacy of Beat the Street.
